Find out about your dog trainer

Rizia RobertsonHello, I am Rizia; a dog trainer, mother, granny and survivor of a multi dog household! I have been training dogs and supporting owners in Edinburgh and the Lothians since 2008.

In 2021 I moved to the Pentland Hills where I now live with my dogs, cats, chickens and visiting local wildlife, all ready for our next big adventure.

Our move from Edinburgh to our new home was filmed for Ben Fogle’s New Lives in the Country. It was a new experience for all of us and I’m glad we did it.

You can watch it on Catch up here https://www.channel5.com/show/ben-fogle-s-new-lives-in-the-country/season-2/episode-5.

Since 2009 I have been pursuing my lifelong dream of working with dogs which began during a gap year in Asia where I was a volunteer with street and village dogs.

My interest in positive dog training began when one of my own dogs, Shiloh, found it difficult to deal with the world and I was at a loss about how to help him. Our journey in finding the right person to help us, inspired me to not only be the best dog trainer I could be but also to be caring and supportive of my clients too.

I’ve worked hard to gain qualifications and experience and I am proud to be an accredited training member of the following respected and ethical organisations.
